The Villatoro family has been farming coffee 1956 in the outskirts of La Libertad, Guatemala. Aurelio's father used to use pack mules to haul their coffee 60km to the nearest market. When Eleodoro Villatoro passed away, Aurelio and his brother Pedro took over the farm. The entire farm is family run with most of Aurelio's children using their expertise in the lab, farm, and warehouse.
