Maria Velasquez and her daughters run 'Los Angeles' a farm in the mountains at 1300 meters. She has been growing and selling specialty grade coffee at her local market for years until being found by Gold Mountain Coffee Growers. Their partnership now helps support her daughters' education as well as reinvestments into the farm. Maria grows Yellow Caturra, which is a sub-varietal of Caturra, that ripens quicker and has a distinct yellow color when ripe.
